A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.

The incident happened around 3pm on Sunday, 19 July, on Blaeloch Drive when police received a report of a disturbance involving a car being driven at a group of men. A 35-year-old man declined medical treatment at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Keith Runcie, based at Cathcart CID, said: “Reckless acts of violence won’t be tolerated in our communities and the quick actions of our officers, which involved uniformed officers as well as detectives and the dog unit, has resulted in a man being arrested and charged in connection with this incident.

“I would appeal to anyone who has any concerns or information about violence or crime in their area to contact us on 101 or 999 in an emergency.”

The 34-year-old man will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow (Tuesday 21 July).
