Colonel Mustard, James, Fun Lovin Criminals and Donald MacLeod are all the latest to be inducted in the Barrowland Hall of Fame. Among the previous recipients of the award in the last 12 months are, Garbage, Embrace and Simple Minds –  also names such as Iggy Pop and David Bowie have been inducted into the iconic venues prestigious award down the years.

Colonel Mustard have headlined the Glasgow music hall three times, packing the place with excited fans, all while remaining unsigned.

Calling it their ‘spiritual home’ the band began when they rehearsed in the venue downstairs and watched some of the country’s biggest stars take to the stage.

Colonel JT McMustard told GLASGOW EYES  the band were delighted to win the accolade: “For Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 playing the Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom was always the dream. Sometimes one I even gave up on.
