APPEAL – SERIOUS ASSAULT – KILBIRNIE STREET

Police in Glasgow are appealing for information after a 24-year-old man was found seriously injured in Laurieston on Sunday morning.

The incident happened on Kilbirnie Street around 3.05am on Sunday, 23 August, 2020. Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

Detective Inspector Lynsey Watters, of Cathcart CID, said: “Officers are checking all available CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries to identify the person or persons responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was on Kilbirnie Street or the surrounding streets around this time who may have witnessed the assault, saw somebody running away or saw any suspicious activity to contact the police. I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time to check back and see if there is anything that could assist us in our investigation.”
