DISTURBANCE – NEWLANDS ROAD, GLASGOW

Police Scotland is appealing for information after a disturbance at a flat on Newlands Road in Glasgow in the early hours of this morning.

Around 12.30 am on Sunday 10 March 2019 a group of people were within a flat on Newlands road, near to Holmlea Road, when a large scale disturbance broke out.

Emergency services were called and two men aged 18 were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. A further 16 year-old male youth was treated for injuries.
One of the 18 year-old men remains in hospital with a potentially life changing hand injury.

Detective Constable Paul McKenna, Govan Police Office, said:

“Our officers have been checking CCTV as well as making door to door enquiries to establish exactly what happened here and to identify those involved.

“We are appealing for anyone who has not already spoken to us, and who may have information, to get in touch.

“The three suspects were wearing dark clothing with their faces covered and there was a lot of shouting and noise during the incident. Think back, do you remember seeing or hearing anything in the early hours?
