25 Years of The Garage

Since opening in 1994, The Garage has been an iconic feature of Glasgow’s nightlife, entertainment and music scene, and to mark its 25th year, its silver anniversary, we want to do something special to mark this wonderful achievement.

Pioneered and steered by the vision of local Scottish entrepreneur and musician Donald MacLeod; In that time, year on year, a plethora of globally recognised bands and local acts, have passed under the legendary Yellow Truck, through the doors and up the renowned Garage stairs to play to sell-out crowds. Acts such as Prince, One Direction, Stereophonics, Coldplay, Marilyn Manson, Fall Out Boy, Example, Maroon 5, Keane, Anthrax, Papa Roach, Biffy Clyro, John Bishop, and Rhod Gilbert to name just a few.

On Saturday March 9th we will be throwing a very special party to mark the occasion and everyone is invited. On our main stage we will be turning the clock all the way back to 1994 from there we will take you on a journey through the years with a celebration of contemporary pop culture eventually landing in the heart of 2019.

There will be confetti cannons, video screens, co2 cannons and innovative light shows showering over our customers as we dance in the wee hours of 4am. Everyone will be a winner on the night too, as we give out 1800 silver envelopes containing prizes like: gig tickets, hoodies, t-shirts, gold cards, pop sockets, chocolate bars and one lucky winner will win an extra special grand prize!

Keep an eye on our social media channels over the next few weeks as we relive our most memorable moments over the years and drop more details on the big night itself.
