Dennistoun Pays Respect to the Fallen

The Dennistoun war memorial was finally unveiled today  4 weeks after it was petrol bombed in a cowardly attack that shocked the City of Glasgow.

Hundreds of Dennistoun folk and dignitaries paid their respect to the heroes that fought and died for the sacrifice of freedom.

School kids and former veterans laid wreaths at the ceremony inside Alexandra Park in Glasgow’s East End.

Glasgow Eyes was there to document the service and bring you a picture essay from the day’s events by our chief photographer Brian Anderson.
