Commemorations were held all over Glasgow today to mark 75 years in honor of the men who who fought and died in D- Day. The D-Day landings marked the start of the campaign to liberate Northern Europe for the Nazi occupation.
Today in Alexandra Park in Glasgow’s East End saw the peope of Dennistoun mark the occasion laying floral tributes and remembering the heros from the campaign.
Also Glasgow D-Day veteran Bill Glen of the Highand Light Infantary arrived to pay his own tribute to the fallen and Glasgow Eyes caputed the poignant moment at the Dennistoun War Memorial.
