SurePure, launched by Brian Charrington and Phil Knowlson, sells CBD oil :: It’s been hailed as a ‘miracle’ product which provides health benefits
A revolutionary brand new cannabis oil extract which is said to have huge health benefits has exploded onto the market – from a business based on Teesside is expanding to Glasgow and thousands of Glaswegians can get the product now said co-owner Phil “in fact Glasgow is one of our biggest markets now its crazy”.
SurePure CBD is run by Phil Knowlson, 28, and Brian Charrington – started the company in Jan this year who are running the business in Middlesbrough after spending more than 20 years in Spain.
SurePure was founded by Brian and Phil with both being the only owners of the company. The company has went from strength to strength and now available in Spain on the Costas, Greece, with North East England and the whole of Scotland.
Mr Charrington served a prison sentence in Germany for his role in a cocaine smuggling conspiracy and is the son of the notorious Brian Charrington Snr, who has been described as “one of Europe’s most wanted criminals”
But the 40-year-old said: “Listen, everyone has a past and that’s well documented. But my main focus is this new business.
“I have a real enthusiasm for the product, we both do, and I think that’s important. We’ve worked very hard to get here and we have had fantastic feedback.”
The company is selling CBD oil, which is extracted from the flowers of the hemp plant in a laboratory in Spain and then distributed to wholesalers from Middlesbrough – and is available to buy online.
It’s been described elsewhere as a miracle cure and is said to have huge health benefits. It has reportedly been used to treat cancer patients, those with diabetes and high blood pressure, anxiety and depression and a whole host of other advantages.
It’s becoming more and more popular, with Holland and Barrett recently releasing a product onto the market.
SurePure’s oil products – which are a greater concentration than Holland and Barrett’s and sold as a food supplement – were in production for 18 months, and each motherload is tested as part of a tightly regulated market.
It has proven so popular that an expected six week supply of the product has sold in four or five days.
And while it has received glowing feedback from customers, the fact the product is linked to the cannabis plant means there is still a stigma for some.
“We make no claims about our product, customers do their own research and educate themselves and now launched its own Facebook group where people can share their own stories about the product and its benefit.
“But among some customers, especially an older generation, there can be that stigma and they might not want to admit that they take a cannabis product.
K“It’s nothing to do with getting high or anything like that. It has none of the THC and psychoactive properties. I hope that stigma is starting to disappear a bit.”
Currently based in Coulby Newham – where Phil runs a flooring business, Contemporary Carpets, and Flooring – the directors are looking to expand into new premises and take on sales staff.
“We’ve interviewed about 10 people, but we’ve both got a passion for this business and those we interview need to have that same passion,” said Phil.
“The business is growing but we want to keep that personal touch. We are doing deliveries and making relationships, spreading the word.”
Glasgow Eyes asked why SurePure, Phil says the product is organically grown in Spain and quality tested for an absolute quality product so that all our customers get the very best from SurePure.
The SurePure lads are also going to invest in some of the local communities with youth football teams and boxing also in Glasgow.
