Beth Macari heads to Ayton as single release looms
Music lovers are being urged to check out Northern pop soulstress, Beth Macari, this weekend as she heads to the Scottish Border to perform at the Hemelvaart Bier Café in Ayton, Eyemouth.
Marcari, who was recently seen serenading pop icon Leo Sayer backstage at Sage Gateshead, the latter nearing the end of his Just A Boy At 70 tour, releases her new single ‘One More Time’ on June 21 (on Humble Angel Records) will be appearing with her full band and performing tracks from her stunning catalogue.
Having already released the tracks Clone, Boy and Stronger over the past eighteen months, the lady with one of the most gifted vocals of this generation at least, is set to stun with her upcoming piano ballad which focusses on the soul destroying thoughts at the possibility of losing a loved one, she having an immense closeness with those in her life.
“One More Time’ is for anyone who has lost someone,” Beth said of her upcoming release, recorded at Newcastle’s Cluny Studios.
“I believe it’s the most painful and heart-breaking feeling.
“I have so many amazing people in my life that I genuinely don’t know how I will survive without them.
“I had a lot of sadness inside me that I just needed to release and you can certainly hear my voice crack when it comes to the drop down chorus; I was holding back tears at that point.”
As the momentum continues to flow for the Newcastle songwriter, Macari, who has gained the support of BBC Radio Two DJ, Gaby Roslin, will aim to ride the crest of the wave over the ensuing twelve months with the hope of an album release in the not-too-distant future.
