Missing Glasgow man found safe and well

A man who went missing more than a week ago has been found safe and well.

Hasanat Muhammad Mahmood, 21, had last been seen when he left the family home in Herriet Street in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow on Thursday July 19.

He was reported missing on Wednesday July 25.



Police Scotland is concerned for the safety and well-being of a 21-year-old man who was reported missing from his home address in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow yesterday, Wednesday 25 July 2018.

Hasanat Muhammad Mahmood was last seen when he left the family home in Herriet Street on Thursday, 19 July 2018. He has since missed a medical appointment and takes daily medication, which he may not have in his possession.

He is described as having Asian appearance, around 5’10,  slim build, brown eyes, short black hair, does not wear glasses and was clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket and white Jordan trainers.

Chief Inspector Ross Allan, Area Commander for Glasgow South East, said:

“It is unusual for Hasanat not to be in touch with his family or friends for such a long period of time and we are anxious to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of his current whereabouts. Anyone with any information is urged to get in touch with Police Scotland via 0141 532 4977.”
